How can I get a copy of a Police Incident/Accident Report?
Copies of reports are available 5 business days after the report is taken, during town business hours 9:00AM to 4:30PM. A fee may be charged.

 

Will the police unlock my car if I lock my keys inside?
YES, The Bethlehem Police Department will assist with lockouts. These include if the vehicle is running or a child or animal is locked inside, as patrol cars are available.

I am going away on vacation. Will the police watch my house for me?
Yes, call the non-emergency number 439-9973 and tell the dispatcher your going out of town. The dispatcher fills out a property check form, which is turned over to the officers in a Zone book. Your residence will be checked periodically while you are away. You will be required to provide some information such as the dates you will be away, names & numbers of contact persons with a key, etc.

I need fingerprints taken for a job application or adoption record. Can the police help me?
YES, during normal business hours, 9AM to 5PM, or call 439-9973 for an appointment

 

When is court held?
Traffic court is held at 5:30PM every other Tuesday. Criminal court is at 4:00PM on every other Tuesday, No court is held on a holiday. To check call (518) 439-9717 after hours for a recording.

There are a lot of speeders in my neighborhood. What can I do about it?
Call the Police Department's non-emergency number 439-9973 to register your complaint. The complaint will be turned over to the Patrol Lieutenant, who will assign a patrol unit to your neighborhood in an attempt to solve the problem. We may send the radar trailer to the street for a day as a reminder to drivers in your area.
